    Do not update iPhone 3g & 3gS to 3.1.3 firmware yet if you want to preserve your Jailbreak/Unlock for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2G (new models) and iPod touch 3G. This is because the new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware updates baseband from 5.11.07 (unlockable with Blacksnow) to 05.12.01 (currently Unlockable) on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G which makes it impossible to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 3GS and 3G.

    New version of Itunes 9.0.3 is safe to Update. No effect on Jailbreaking.

    Below are the 3.1.2 firmware files that you will be pointing in Redsnow 0.9.4. (Recap, you will be having 3.1.3 firmware in your Ihone 2g and ipod touch 1 & 2nd gen, but you will be pointing 3.1.2 firmware in Redsnow 0.9.4 to Jailbreak and Unlock)

    IMPORTANT: IF YOU HAVE AN IPHONE 2G USING AN UN-OFFICIAL SIM CARD THEN AFTER UPDATING YOUR IPHONE 2G FROM ITUNES , YOU WILL SEE ITUNES LOGO AND USB LOGO ON YOUR IPHONE 2G SCREEN. DO NOT PANIC. AT THIS POINT SIMPLY CLOSE ITUNES AND RUN REDSNOW 0.9.4. THIS WILL HACTIVATE YOUR IPHONE 2G AND OPEN IN NORMAL MODE. VOILA.
