A Database consists of multiple objects, and Access treats each object as a separate file that can be opened, saved, and closed. In fact, since you're saving the objects individually, you won't actually be saving the database itself. The database is kind of like a folder of different objects. This is very different from most programs you've used, so it may seem a little strange at first, but with practice it will start to make much more sense.
In this video we'll go over the basics of opening, saving, and closing objects.
