Ive been riding and racing a bamboo road bike over the last year. Built by Phil Webb at and fitted by Steve Hogg at in Sydney Australia.

The bamboo bicycle was built up roughly to my Cannondale Caad 9 geometry. It rides VERY smoothy and stable Built up today my bamboo road bike is around 11kg yet I don't notice it when smashing up steep hills and have actually set some pb's on it. My best time up Norton Summit on this 11kg bamboo bicycle is 14:16 and on my superlight Cannondale its 14:06.

Im a BIG fan of bamboo bicycles and recommend everyone try a properly fitted bamboo bike sometime and make their own mind up about bamboo bicycle technologies.
