Tom Grosset is the official WFD champion after winning the 2007 Summer NAMM World Finals in Austin, Texas with 1,156 singles. This score is officially the highest score that's ever been recorded during the final championship round at a WFD event.
Tom's highest preliminary run was 1194 single strokes making him the new WFD 16 and under World Record Holder plus ranking him as the third fastest drummer in the world in all age categories.
Thomas Grosset is a young, dedicated, and talented musician. Tom has developed into a versatile drummer who excels in a variety of styles. Tom is very involved with the music scene in his area and he currently plays with several jazz combos, the GPRC Jazz Ensemble and various other groups.
Also, Tom is officially the 2007 World's Fastest Drummer Champion after reaching a score of 1194 single strokes in 1 minute at the World's Fastest Drummer competition held in Austin, Texas.
This score makes him the 3rd fastest drummer in the entire world in all age categories. He's also labeled as the fastest in the 16-and-under age category internationally. After winning the competition, Tom won a Pearl drum set, a set of Zildjian cymbals, Promark sticks, 50 Remo drum heads, a subscription in "Drum!" magazine and he had several endorsement offers from companies such as Pearl and Pintech. Tom was featured on CTV News, CBC Radio, Global News and other News stations after his involvement with this competition.
Tom likes to apply these skills in various musical situations and he has gained a lot through this experience.
