Steps how to downgrade iPhone 3G/3GS iOS 4.0.2 to 3.1.3 or drown grade iPhone 4 from 4.0.2 to 4.0 firmware on a Windows PC and how to recover from (1011, 1013 or 1015) error(s) (aka stuck in recovery mode).
SHSH blobs MUST be saved to Cydia to do this on Newer iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 devices. IF you have not done this and cannot do it on Cydia you may want to try Tiny Umbrella...info what it is and how it works and to get the download can be found here...
I got tired of all the videos that only showed you how to change the hosts in windows to Cydia server and they made it seem like that was all there is too it but anyone who has done this before on PC or Mac knows you get usually error 1015. Easy to fix on Mac with Quickpwn but Windows users suffer bc there is no Windows QP and redsn0w and spirit , etc, etc do not seem to work You need to use iREB or RecBoot and Every video I ran into might have mentioned iREB or RecBoot but did not show where to get the software! I hope this helps, I searched many tutorials to try and make a better one. **You do this at your own risk! This is Informational only! if you screw up your computer because you did not know what you were doing you can only blame yourself! **
Here is a great link to a written tutorial..
I used iReb you can get that here..
iReb and RecBoot can be used to fix the 1015 error but RecBoot did not work for me. You are welcome to use RecBoot per the written tutorial or iReb as I used in my video.
RecBoot info and download can be found here..
**If you do not follow iREB or RecBoot steps properly you can mess up the USB drivers on your computer and your computer will not see the iPhone when it is connected!**
