This project uses an InfraRed (IR) Transmitter / Receiver pair to send information wirelessly. Both the TX and RX circuits use a PIC16F684 microprocessor and implements the SIRC (Sony InfraRed Communication) protocol - exactly the same as a TV remote control. In fact, you could control this receiver circuit with a Sony TV remote control - using the channel up, channel down, volume up, and volume down buttons! The data received is displayed on an LCD display, and each of the 4 different buttons on the transmitter will turn the servo to 4 different positions.
This project was based on Nigel Goodwin's PIC Tutorial 5_2. If you would like my circuit diagrams or PIC assembly code, then please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
