Hopefully, this will give you a taste of the material covered and get you inspired to try your hand at improvising on the mandolin. Remember, unlike driving, skydiving, spelunking, cycling, and hundreds of other really exciting activities, improvising a solo will never get you killed. No matter how rotten it sounds you will survive the incident. And yet it is that many students of the mandolin have a dreadful fear of hitting wrong notes when improvising. They turn pale, their heart races, and muscles lock up... mine do too sometimes. But, armed with a little information, and a "who cares" attitude YOU CAN learn to improvise. I'll provide the info and you work on the "who cares" part.
