Donnie's first (and only) trip to the post-season, and despite years of tremendously abusive back pain, likely figurative from carrying the team for 15 years, he reaches down and sets the ballpark on fire. The Stadium rocks as soon as he makes contact. Not a single person wasn't jumping up and down, covered with goosebumps, erupting with excitement. Even the players in the dugout became childhood fans watching the celebration. I get the same feeling all these years later, watching this grainy clip. Haven't been to a game yet without my #23 shirt.

Note all the Yankee "cameos," from Bernie to Darryl to a rookie Jeter and Jorge (in his original #62) to the #7 for Mickey Mantle on everyone's sleeve.
