    So in this interview, so does the Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada talk about it. So I guess, that they'll maybe start developing it in 2010 or 2011. WOOT WOOT!!!!!
    "Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada has "a lot of ideas" for Tekken 7, he's revealed in a CVG reader Q&A.
    Answering a question from CVG reader 'Kain Carver', Harada said of his Tekken 7 plans: "Oh, there are a lot of ideas... I can't say too much yet, though.
    "For example, we've got a new idea for a facial-expression system for when people get punched and so forth. It'd be a real thrill to see in action, so I definitely want to do that."
    Elsewhere in the interview the Tekken director says that despite doom-sayers the fighting genre is "doing pretty well for itself" and he'd love to work on a cross-series fighting game.

    Tekken 7 has reportedly been announced by series director Katsuhiro Harada who announced the 7th installment of the long-running "King of Iron Fist" tournament game at an event in Madrid.

    Exactly no details are known about the game at this time or confirmed, but we will likely hear more about the Namco title at the upcoming E3 2010 tradeshow in June.

    It is not known what systems the game will hit or whether it will be released in arcades first, but Tekken 6 was released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP, as well as arcades.

    The gameplay engine and style are closely based on Tekken 6 (but uses an upgraded engine as confirmed in an official Tekken interview) and expands on the Tag mechanics featured in the first Tekken Tag, allowing for extended tag combos and combined moves.

    It will be released in the Japanese arcades during Summer 2011, while the release dates for other regions, as well as console versions, have yet to be announced. At the World Cyber Games 2010 Harada hinted that the upcoming console version might feature additional console-exclusive returning characters and bonus gameplay modes. Also on Twitter, Harada suggested that the release of the console version of game would take place between the releases of Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter.



    On Harada's Twitter page, many fans have been asking Harada to bring back Jun Kazama. Harada stated on his Twitter and Facebook page that if he gets at least 4000 followers who tweet "bring back Jun" Harada and his team will consider bringing her back in this and possibly future Tekken games.

    On the 6th of November 2010 a testplay video was released to show fans the Tag system. The are walls on the Practice mode but can be disabled. From Harada's own words "You can now have 3 characters on screen so you can hold them up and have another character attack them and if the timings right you can escape". Harada said he has a lot of ideas for this game like escaping from attacks, holds, and breaking through walls like in Tekken 6. The following characters were in the testplay and have all been announced as playable character: Marshall Law, Paul, Armor King II, and King II. Recently after on Harada's Twitter page, he announced that Steve Fox, Devil Jin and Julia Chang would be present in the game. Since then, Alisa Bosconovitch, Anna Williams, Baek Doo San, Eddy Gordo, Ganryu, Ling Xiaoyu, Nina Williams, Lee Chaolan, a young Heihachi Mishima and a unknown fighter.

    The roster is over half complete as 30 Characters have been confirmed.
