  • Description: Part 5 of the restoration of my 18th Birthday present, my 1987 KDX 200 air cooled beast.
    In this vid I:
    -Wire wheeled the aluminum swing arm (looks brand new now)
    -wire wheeled the steel frame (got painted green, looks awesome)
    -finished scraping plastics (now on to heating them, and eventually painting)
    -started mach up (was going to test motor & trans before painting frame)

    Jesus clip = Snap ring... Cuz ya always say JESUS! when it goes flying across the room after taking it off! No offense to Jesus, I'm a church going kid most of the time!!

    The bike has had many surprises, currently I have 2 main bearings and seals on order, It was just puking premix into the stator cover. Also scored a practically brand new rotor and stator off of ebay.


    I basically spent two weeks working on the beast and taking vids. at the end of the day I would put all the vids into one folder, so a lot of the filming is done I just have a lot to edit now.

    I ran into quite a few problems and had to troubleshoot a lot of stuff during the restoration to get it running right (some hints thrown in), It's definitely worth sticking around for so please subscribe!!!
