Video pretty much explains it all but I do want to add that I'm not saying creating tension in your low back is unncessary, in fact that's always a given. I also assume that most people know they need to protect their low back but creating a slightly arched (not rounded) are at least a very flat low back for these exercises.
Sternum over the bar 1st and foremost, set posture (grip, low back, chest proud), then lastly, just before lift, create the most amount of tension (NOT stretch, but tension) as I've demonstrated before performing the lift.
