  • Description: This is a brief video of Tucker #1038 being driven at the 2008 Tucker Automobile Club of America, Inc. convention in Ypsilanti, MI (the location of Tucker creator Preston Tucker's Home and the site of the construction of the prototype "Tin Goose"). This also features TACA member Kit Fox's ride in the car that he won in the TACA auction before the car is due to be sold by RM Auctions in August 2008.
    Background:
The Tucker was built in Chicago in 1948 by Preston Tucker. Only 51 cars were produced including the 1947 prototype "the Tin Goose" before Tucker was forced to cease production after being sued on charges of fraud. Preston Tucker won the trial, but production never resumed. Of the original 51 produced plus car #1051 assembled after the trial, 47 cars still exist.
