Find a vine, jump on, hit left left left, right right right, up up up. Then click start and A. Go to sound test.

This should work on any version of this game, whether it is emulation, sonic mega collection plus, or the actual cartridge. I have recently heard of some problems with this hack on virtual console. I have no way to test this so if a few viewers out there would like to test this and leave a video response, that would be great. Good Luck!
