  • Description: Waterloo to Southampton Parkway (first stop) on the 13::32 Waterloo - Weymouth "Network Express" operated by a new (then) Class 442 "Wessex Electric." Much has changed since I filmed this in mid-December 1990. 4 years before the first Eurostar ran (Waterloo was the London hub for Eurostar from its inception in November 1994, until November 2007, since when they have operated from St. Pancras). This service did not call at such stations as Woking, Basingstoke, or Winchester and the Conductor's announcement, just before departure, confirms that. Oh, and the music at the beginning was playing over the Waterloo Station tannoy, so don't blame me for that!
