- Description: This is a short video of a wooden geared battery operated clock. The clock incorporates a twin pivot grasshopper esacapement. It is powered by a gravity remontoire (not a true remontoire for the purists) acting on the great wheel at the rear of the clock. It rewinds about every 60 seconds and moves about 6 degrees. It has a compound pendulum to give it a lazy 2 second period. The clock is 430mm high to the top so a compound pendulum was needed.
